Garage Sale Find.

Before.

After.
 After.

Mark and I found this at a garage sale. It was a set including the 2 pictures, the iron piece above it, and the mirror/window itself. They were selling it for $20 but since I only wanted the window they gave it to us for half the price. My sister wanted it as soon as she saw it. It was convenient since I had her name for Christmas. The first thing I did was paint it the off-white color. There were 6 mirrors inside so I covered 2 with pictures and one with peel and stick chalkboard. The other two I left alone. Lastly I attached a drawer pull upside down to the inside of the shutter to put chalk and/or keys in.

Advent

It's December! December means Advent. I finished this advent calendar this past Monday and was finally able to hang it up today! Like most advent calendars, each package is filled with candies. But my goal is to add a prophecy and how it was fulfilled through Christ in each package. I'm super excited and plan to make it a tradition along with the candy!

One man's trash is another man's treasure.

One of my favorite places is, and probably always will be, goodwill and any thrift store like it. There are so many things that are wonderful for reusing in a craft! But this summer I discovered a new place... the dumpster. I was bringing the trash out one day when I noticed a flower pot. It was dirty but  hand painted and adorable! Not even within a week I was once again bringing out the trash when I noticed a HUGE frame leaning against the garage. It now hangs on our wall. (It did hang on our wall but it is now in storage since we moved.) Reduce. Reuse. Recycle. Donate.
